About the role
- Personal Lines auto claims adjuster handling customer claims over the phone. Analyzing policy details and making liability decisions during the claims process in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Open new claims over the phone with customers, then ensure the situation is handled immediately
- Interview insureds and/or witnesses to gather their accounts of events
- Determine whether the claim is covered or not by analyzing the insured’s policy details
- Analyze the information obtained, make decisions to determine liability and review damage assessments
- Settle claims fairly and equitably, confirm damage amounts and make payments
Requirements
- Claims adjuster licence and successful completion of exams
- Experience in a similar position
- Strong time-management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Bilingual (English-French): Able to interact with both French-speaking and English-speaking customers
- Intermediate level English is required
