Responsibilities
Open new claims over the phone with customers, then ensure the situation is handled immediately
Interview insureds and/or witnesses to gather their accounts of events
Determine whether the claim is covered or not by analyzing the insured’s policy details
Analyze the information obtained, make decisions to determine liability and review damage assessments
Settle claims fairly and equitably, confirm damage amounts and make payments
Requirements
Claims adjuster licence and successful completion of exams
Experience in a similar position
Strong time-management skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Bilingual (English-French): Must be able to interact with both French-speaking and English-speaking customers on a daily basis
Intermediate level English is required
Advanced level English is required
