About the role
- Software Development Manager leading a team to develop gas pipeline integrity software solutions. Collaborating cross-functionally and ensuring team performance in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead our rapidly growing software development team
- Collaborate with product, software and engineering teams to plan releases and clarify requirements
- Take a leadership role in recruiting, hiring and onboarding
- Remove roadblocks and support the team to overcome impediments to their success
- Mentor Software Developers and provide honest coaching and motivation
- Lead technical design sessions and contribute problem solving approaches
- Champion best software practices and build or refine processes
- Review designs, architecture, and code for quality, scalability and maintainability
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a professional software developer
- 3+ years of experience in a professional software leadership capacity
- Experience with development of Azure Services
- Basic knowledge and experience with DevOps
- Strong software design principles as it relates to building web-based application platforms, APIs and data modeling
- Experience with development of web-based applications
- Experience with development using relational databases.
