About the role
- Full Stack Web Developer building scalable PHP/React microservices and SaaS features. Improving last-mile logistics through reliable delivery tracking and operational tools.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to overall product and company goals through new feature and project development and maintenance items
- Fix bugs, enhance performance, and remediate security vulnerabilities
- Develop new microservices with high scalability requirements
- Design work with scale, performance, and reliability in mind
- Participate in horizontal and vertical engineering of new features
- Review existing feature sets
- Use innovative and cutting-edge technologies to solve complex SaaS and high-availability systems problems in modern logistics operations
Requirements
- Specialized higher education (e.g. Software Engineering or Computer Science) and/or significant experience in Software Development
- Significant experience developing in PHP 7+ and solid foundations in OOP (Object Oriented Programming)
- Experience working with REST API responses in JSON
- Experience working with NoSQL data storage (e.g. MongoDB, Firestore)
- Experience with one or more modern PHP frameworks, such as Laravel, Yii, Symfony, etc.
- Experience with RESTful API development
- Significant experience with React
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript
- Knowledge of relational (e.g. MySQL) and non-relational databases (e.g. MongoDB)
- Very well versed in Git (both GUI and command line) and best practices in version control for web development
- Experience with unit testing in a CI/CD environment
- Very strong analytical and written communication skills
- Capacity to quickly learn and get familiar with the ins and outs of multiple interconnected systems
- TypeScript is an asset
- Experience with Azure services is an asset/bonus
- Experience with AWS SDKs and APIs is an asset/bonus
- Experience with Docker is an asset/bonus
- Experience with Angular is an asset/bonus
- Familiarity with the Atlassian product suite (Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence)
