About the role

  • Network and Systems Administrator maintaining and optimizing client IT infrastructures. Collaborating with a skilled team and addressing technical challenges in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve performance, security, and network connectivity issues.
  • Design and implement custom technology solutions in collaboration with clients.
  • Manage clients' infrastructure services (Active Directory, virtualization, backup, etc.).
  • Deploy workstations, servers, and various network equipment.
  • Provide advanced-level technical support and ensure thorough ticket follow-up.
  • Document changes, interventions, and technical procedures.
  • Actively participate in architecture reviews and improvement recommendations.
  • Leverage automation and scripting tools (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) to improve efficiency.
  • Make occasional on-site visits to clients to support projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years' experience in IT network and systems administration.
  • Strong proficiency with Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat) and Windows Server.
  • Proficient with: Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, Hyper-V/VMware, firewalls (SonicWALL, WatchGuard), enterprise antivirus, and backup systems (BackupExec, Veeam).
  • Hands-on experience administering Proxmox VE virtualization environments, including VM and container management, storage, and high availability.
  • Knowledge of Citrix and Cisco products is an asset.
  • Experience managing cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is an asset.
  • Valid driver's license required for occasional travel.
  • Fluency in French (written, spoken, comprehension) required.
  • English is an asset, as some clients are English-only.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are an asset.
