About the role
- Senior Software Engineer developing analytics tools for Lattice’s culture-focused product. Collaborating with engineers and product teams to build software that enhances employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for building software to help companies create cultures in which their employees thrive.
- Partner with other engineers to build and own products across a modern tech stack.
- Work closely with other product teams to understand and solve overarching pain points.
- Own execution of complex projects requiring cross-functional collaboration with product managers and designers.
- Provide substantial mentorship to less experienced colleagues.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience writing and maintaining production-level applications.
- Experience with modern programming languages such as TypeScript, Ruby, and Python.
- Experience working on and maintaining services for an organization operating at scale.
- Experience building systems that are adopted by the wider engineering org.
- Familiarity with SQL and ability to efficiently model data and write performant queries in a relational database like PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of maintaining and scaling applications actively serving customers in production.
- Strong debugging skills and the ability to champion improvements that prevent future issues.
- Clear and concise in explaining thought processes and enumerating tradeoffs made in work.
- Passion for mentoring and supporting newer software engineers.
