About the role
- Web Developer building high-performing websites, landing pages, tracking, and lead-capture systems for LEAP’s legal practice productivity software. Hybrid role supporting global marketing growth from Toronto.
Responsibilities
- Manage, update, design, and scale the company website and landing pages
- Liaise with the LEAP Global Marketing team to implement codebase changes, fixes, and new components
- Stay apprised of web development standards and emerging technologies
- Maintain and implement GTM tags and conversion tracking, including Meta Conversions API (CAPI), Google Tag Manager, and server-side tracking for paid campaigns
- Create logical, testable, efficient code using web development best practices
- Build and maintain website layouts and user interfaces using HTML/CSS best practices
- Collaborate with the graphics department to match visual design intent
- Create and maintain website-practice documentation in Confluence and Word digital assets
- Implement SEO/GEO/AEO best practices under direction from SEO experts
- Monitor, fix, and resolve website issues promptly
- Attend monthly meetings with Web Developers and Global Marketing stakeholders
- Prepare unit tests for code under development
- Implement Pardot/MCAE website forms for lead capture
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate Salesforce attribution and tracking
- Support global marketing strategies, lead generation initiatives, and digital business growth
Requirements
- 5+ years in a similar role
- Highly proficient in HTML, Vue.js, JavaScript, virtual DOM, and CSS, including pre-processors such as SASS/SCSS
- Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL
- Experience with Nuxt.js, including server-side rendering and static generation
- Experience with headless CMS platforms like Storyblok
- Solid experience with JavaScript foundations
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Excellent analytical and debugging skills
- Ability to code for multiple browsers, platforms, and mobile devices
- Familiarity with hands-on functionality and reporting of Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Search Console verification tags, and conversion tracking scripts
- Experience working with robust web tools like heatmaps
- Excellent communication skills within a technical and business environment
- Commitment to continuous technical learning
- Excellent time and project management skills, with ability to manage multiple daily tasks
- Self-starter with strong follow-through and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of command line interface is an asset
- Understanding of NPM, Yarn, and NodeJS is an asset
- Familiarity with website lead capture using Pardot forms is an asset
- Experience developing and integrating complex software systems through the full SDLC is an asset
- Familiarity with Babel and GitHub is an asset
- Familiarity with website chatbot technologies is an asset
- Experience with Salesforce is an asset
- Experience working in the legal industry is an asset
