About the role

  • Senior Project Coordinator coordinating safety, quality, procurement, scheduling, and closeout for Ledcor Building’s commercial construction projects in Toronto.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and execute project strategies in collaboration with the Project Manager
  • Support the operations team in maintaining safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle
  • Promote health, safety, and environmental protection through implementation of the Project Specific Safety Program
  • Coordinate and administer the Project Quality Plan
  • Maintain project start-up systems and procedures, including site trailer or office, filing system, project billings, cost accounting system, and project directory
  • Perform administrative and record-keeping functions, including document review and distribution, correspondence, meeting minutes, and maintenance of project records
  • Support subcontract management and procurement through tendering, awarding work, processing invoices and progress claims, and reviewing documents and inquiries
  • Coordinate change order management, including securing pricing, reviewing data, submitting change requests, and following through on subcontract change orders and purchase orders
  • Track project milestones and assist with project and baseline schedules
  • Coordinate and administer the Commissioning Quality Management Plan and Commissioning Plan
  • Prepare project closeout materials, including warranties, O&M manuals, occupancy documents, turnover documents, site demobilization, and document archiving

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in ICI building construction projects
  • Completed post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering or related discipline is an asset
  • Experience in full-cycle new-build construction
  • Design-build and commercial construction experience preferred
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering systems, principles, and practices
  • Working knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices and methodology
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to identify issues and generate solutions in moderately complex situations
  • Strong computer skills and aptitude for learning new programs
  • Familiarity with scheduling software
