About the role

Field Service Technician repairing and maintaining Liebherr cranes and deep foundation machinery. Supporting Canadian construction, mining, and material-handling customers through field service.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, inspect and diagnose Liebherr machinery and components, especially crawler cranes and deep foundation drill rigs
Perform machinery preparation, scheduled maintenance, repairs, overhauls, commissioning and adjustments
Recondition and repair equipment components and systems
Perform pre-delivery inspections and prepare new and used equipment
Service Liebherr machinery, including fluid checks, sample pulling, oil and filter checks, lubricant changes, filter replacement and greasing
Inspect components, materials and equipment, correct them to specifications and meet delivery programs
Complete final verifications according to work instructions, scope of work, communications and specifications
Submit accurate and timely service reports and technical documents
Operate and maintain tools, equipment and work areas according to company policy
Work safely and independently at customer locations and in varied climates and environments
Provide technical support and ensure equipment operates at peak performance

3+ Experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment; experience in Crane repairs strongly preferred
Heavy Equipment License preferred
Demonstrated troubleshooting and diagnostic skills of moderate to complex issues
Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic, hydraulic and mechanical systems
Ability to read and understand schematics and drawings
Ability to multi-task and remain level-headed in demanding situations
Communication of detailed and complex information in a clear and concise manner
MS Office, service reporting/time entry and parts ordering software
Resourceful and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Follows instructions, guidelines and protocols
Valid Drivers License & Passport – Ability to travel regularly
