About the role
- Resident Field Technician supporting Liebherr's Earth Moving division, repairing and maintaining machinery on-site. Ensuring high levels of quality and customer satisfaction through effective service operations.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, inspect and diagnose Liebherr machinery and components including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, engines, gearbox/drive train, etc.
- Perform new and used machinery preparation, scheduled maintenance, repair or overhaul requiring component replacement and adjustment of mechanical/hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic equipment
- Recondition and repair equipment components and systems
- Perform servicing on Liebherr machinery, including fluid checks, oil and filter changes, replacing filters, greasing machine lube points
- Ensure components, materials and equipment is inspected, and delivery programs are achieved in a timely manner
- Ensure all final verifications specified in work instructions and specifications are completed
- Accurate and timely submission of reports and technical documents
Requirements
- 4+ years experience servicing heavy equipment
- Red Seal/Journeyman license or provincial equivalent required
- Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical components
- Demonstrated diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, component exchange, repair and warranty related activities
- Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings
- Familiarity with computers and Microsoft Office suite
