About the role

  • Field Service Technician at Moneris, providing technical expertise in installing and maintaining equipment. Working on-site with clients in Quebec City to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain a wide range of equipment, including computers, cash registers, point-of-sale (POS) systems, printers, digital signage systems, cameras and more
  • Analyze issues, recommend root causes and corrective actions
  • Build excellent relationships with our merchants by demonstrating professionalism at all times
  • Maintain organization of tools, equipment, company vehicle and work environment

Requirements

  • Post-secondary studies in electronics, information technology or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in field service, technical support, customer service or a related role
  • Ability to test and resolve computer, network or point-of-sale (POS) terminal issues
  • Knowledge of computers, general network management concepts, the Internet and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Proficiency in English and French (read, written and spoken)
  • Valid provincial driver’s license
