About the role
- Bilingual Fleet Maintenance Coordinator managing maintenance and repair activities for fleet vehicles in a hybrid role. Ensuring compliance and efficiency in vehicle operations across locations.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance (PM) and technical inspections of commercial vehicles (CVI) across the entire fleet
- Schedule pickup and delivery appointments based on service requirements and time constraints
- Liaise with clients to resolve issues and identify opportunities for improvement
- Properly communicate carriers' and clients' accessorial charges
- Monitor carrier performance and recommend route adjustments when necessary
- Evaluate carrier alternatives and allocate freight based on cost and service requirements
- Optimize profit margins while meeting customer requirements
- Work closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth fleet operations
Requirements
- Must be bilingual in French and English
- 3 to 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance coordination or a related field
- Knowledge of tractors, trailers, chassis, refrigerated trucks, and generators
- Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA or NSC (National Safety Code) regulations
- Experience with fleet management systems (Ultimo or Truckmate)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with reporting tools is an asset
