About the role

Backend Engineer designing and maintaining Go services for a globally distributed platform at Luxor. Building mission-critical systems and collaborating on architecture decisions while ensuring code quality.

Responsibilities

You'll design, build, and maintain backend services in Go for our globally distributed platform.
Collaborate on architecture definitions, always thinking of solutions that are scalable and secure.
Develop quality code, with emphasis on correctness of the implementation.
Collaborate in the evolutionary maintenance of the product.
Design, document, automate and execute test plans.

5+ years of software engineering experience.
Proficiency in Go, or strong backend experience with enthusiasm to transition to Go.
Strong understanding of software architecture and system design principles.
Solid understanding of concurrency patterns and TCP/networking fundamentals.
Deep expertise in SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), including schema design and query optimization.
Experience building and maintaining highly available server-side applications.
Understanding of REST APIs and general API design.
Strong communication skills in English.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have: Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.).
Nice to have: Experience with payment systems or processing high-volume financial data.
Nice to have: Experience delivering and owning web-scale data systems in production.
Nice to have: Knowledge of blockchain technology or the mining pool industry.
Nice to have: Experience building highly scalable, distributed systems.
Nice to have: Knowledge of GCP, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Nice to have: Experience working with remote teams.
