About the role
- Backend Engineer designing and maintaining Go services for a globally distributed platform at Luxor. Building mission-critical systems and collaborating on architecture decisions while ensuring code quality.
Responsibilities
- You'll design, build, and maintain backend services in Go for our globally distributed platform.
- Collaborate on architecture definitions, always thinking of solutions that are scalable and secure.
- Develop quality code, with emphasis on correctness of the implementation.
- Collaborate in the evolutionary maintenance of the product.
- Design, document, automate and execute test plans.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Go, or strong backend experience with enthusiasm to transition to Go.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and system design principles.
- Solid understanding of concurrency patterns and TCP/networking fundamentals.
- Deep expertise in SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), including schema design and query optimization.
- Experience building and maintaining highly available server-side applications.
- Understanding of REST APIs and general API design.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Nice to have: Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.).
- Nice to have: Experience with payment systems or processing high-volume financial data.
- Nice to have: Experience delivering and owning web-scale data systems in production.
- Nice to have: Knowledge of blockchain technology or the mining pool industry.
- Nice to have: Experience building highly scalable, distributed systems.
- Nice to have: Knowledge of GCP, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Nice to have: Experience working with remote teams.
