About the role

  • Senior Scrum Master supporting delivery of complex IT initiatives at Medavie. Facilitating Scrum events and mentoring Agile teams in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate all Scrum events (daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, reviews, refinements, and retrospectives) for one or more Agile teams
  • Support the delivery of complex initiatives that may involve multiple systems, teams, or stakeholder groups
  • Identify, surface, and help resolve risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers, collaborating beyond the Scrum team as needed
  • Monitor team progress and provide clear, meaningful updates to delivery and leadership partners
  • Coach and mentor Agile teams — and less experienced Scrum Masters — in Agile values, practices, and continuous improvement
  • Foster strong collaboration and transparency between technology teams, business partners, and stakeholders
  • Contribute to broader conversations around Agile maturity, ways of working, and process improvement across IT

Requirements

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 5 years of experience working in an Agile environment as a Scrum Master or Project Manager
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and supporting teams delivering complex work
  • Strong knowledge of Agile principles and Scrum practices
  • Proven coaching, facilitation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience using Agile delivery and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Miro, or similar)
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • English proficiency
  • Security Clearance Requirement: Reliability Status Clearance (Enhanced Level B).
