About the role

  • Billing Analyst processing accurate utility bills, invoices, accounts and remittances for Metergy’s submetering business. Improving billing controls, resolving discrepancies and supporting internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Process invoices within established SLAs while maintaining high quality standards
  • Ensure resident bills are accurate and generated according to established bill cycles
  • Set up new accounts for Billing & Settlements processes, including account fees and credits
  • Resolve and close exceptions while identifying process improvement opportunities
  • Streamline billing processes, improve efficiency and reduce errors
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies with relevant departments
  • Recommend, execute and test billing process changes, improvements and controls
  • Handle client escalations and proactively improve customer experience
  • Perform other assigned Billing Operations duties
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on billing procedures, systems and best practices
  • Participate in Billing department activities supporting accurate and complete resident and client billing, timely LDC Bulk Bill processing and accurate Client Remittances

Requirements

  • University Degree or Business Administration Certificate or related equivalent experience
  • New Grads welcome
  • Minimum 2-year experience in Billing Operations preferred
  • Basic knowledge of SQL is required
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Suite Products
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivots, VLOOKUP and IF statements
  • Oracle CC&B system knowledge is an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated, proactive and flexible, with the ability to adapt to a complex and rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to work under pressure, independently/self-manage, learn quickly and meet tight deadlines
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as needed
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with challenging deadlines
