About the role

  • Product Manager building consumer marketplace and ESA products for Outschool’s online learning platform. Driving product strategy, experimentation, and scalable experiences for learners, families, and educators.

Responsibilities

  • Build products shaping how learners, families, and educators experience education
  • Address high-impact problems across Outschool’s consumer marketplace and ESA business
  • Identify near- and long-term product opportunities and translate them into strategies, roadmaps, and priorities
  • Own products end-to-end from discovery and strategy through execution, launch, experimentation, and iteration
  • Develop customer and marketplace understanding through research, data, and direct customer insight
  • Partner with engineering, design, data, marketing, operations, and other cross-functional teams
  • Turn ambiguous problems into elegant, scalable solutions
  • Define success metrics, design experiments, analyze results, and use quantitative and qualitative insights to drive decisions
  • Build alignment around product vision and make thoughtful tradeoffs
  • Understand Outschool’s strategic and competitive position and build differentiated products
  • Foster a product culture grounded in customer empathy, experimentation, learning, and measurable impact

Requirements

  • Professional product management experience; level will be determined based on experience and scope
  • Experience working closely with engineering, design, data, and other cross-functional partners
  • Track record of taking ownership, navigating ambiguity, and delivering meaningful outcomes
  • Experience owning the full product lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and defining strategy to launch and iteration
  • Strong product sense and ability to identify important problems
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking
  • Strong quantitative skills, including defining experiments and analyzing results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • For more senior candidates: experience setting product strategy, influencing across an organization, mentoring other PMs, and driving impact through complex, highly ambiguous problems
  • Full-time employees must be a citizen or legal resident of the U.S. or Canada and reside in the U.S. or Canada
  • Helpful additional experience includes EdTech, search, discovery, personalization, AI, tooling, data insights, payment products, marketplace technologies, and fast-paced startups or high-growth companies
