About the role

  • Business Systems Analyst at PCL Constructors enhancing technologies and employee experiences in the construction industry. Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into impactful solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Understands HR requirements, strategies, best practices, processes and business outcomes.
  • Gathers, documents, designs, validates, and gains sign off on business system user requirements.
  • Leads workshops and build consensus with stakeholders and subject matter experts across multiple business units.
  • Creates and maintains business requirements and design training documentation and materials.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to drive and translate requirements into impactful reporting solutions.
  • Designs reporting Proof of Concepts that align with business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Strategically partners with the technical team to deliver robust and comprehensive reporting solutions.
  • Manages and leads training rollouts to the internal client group.
  • Develop use case scenarios, user stories, and training material.
  • Validates designs and builds consensus with subject matter experts.
  • Creates and executes change management plans to drive acceptance, adoption, minimize resistance, and maximize engagement and efficiencies.
  • Provides robust, customer centric support to all users.
  • Assists in the analysis and verification of data conversion activities.
  • Records UAT results, track issues, report status, and gain sign off on user acceptance.
  • Oversees the defining of requirements and building of HR reports.
  • Tests the system configuration to identify issues and ensure configuration matches requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of business analysis experience is required.
  • Post-secondary education in information systems, information technology, business administration, commerce, computing science or a related field is required.
  • Certification with BABOK (Business Analyst Body of Knowledge) or IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis), or equivalent.
  • In depth knowledge of HR key processes and best practices.
  • Comfortable working with high profile, aggressive project schedules.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to develop creative solutions to meet customer needs for company-wide processes and software.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with software implementations, software development life cycle methodologies, business process re-engineering, and organizational change management.
  • Demonstrated relationship building skills with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • A positive attitude with a passion and commitment to project success.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors considered an asset.
