About the role

  • Integrated Construction Services Manager leading teams and construction technology delivery for PCL Construction. Driving digital solutions, operational excellence and innovation across Calgary district projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and support a high-performing team of Integrated Construction Services professionals
  • Provide coaching, performance management, career development and strategic direction to achieve district objectives
  • Forecast staffing and equipment needs for pursuits, projects and district initiatives
  • Provide strategic input into estimating for construction technology services and scopes
  • Oversee delivery and adoption of construction technology services across the district
  • Oversee project software, technology solutions, scheduling and quality programs, Virtual Design and Construction, Temporary Works Engineering, training, development and change-management initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, mitigate risk and enhance project outcomes through innovative technology solutions
  • Drive adoption of technology solutions across the district
  • Promote sharing of best practices, lessons learned, innovation and success stories across projects and departments
  • Contribute to district risk management processes and assign appropriate resources and expertise to mitigation strategies
  • Act as primary liaison between the district and Corporate ICS team
  • Partner with the district Business Technology team to implement and adopt construction technology, digital solutions, AI and operational improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, diploma or certificate in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in the construction industry
  • Experience leading teams and delivering construction technology, operational excellence, project support or related services
  • Construction project management experience is considered a strong asset
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring and developing teams
  • Strong understanding of construction project delivery methods, sequencing and industry best practices
  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of service and execution
  • Working knowledge of construction software platforms, digital construction tools, AI technologies and emerging technology solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and present ideas to diverse audiences
  • Strong planning, organizational and time-management skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with operations leaders to forecast workload, allocate resources and support project success
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and staying current with industry trends and innovation
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and building relationships across operations, business technology and corporate functions
