About the role
- Senior Support Engineer ensuring stable builds and integration for AAA game development. Collaborating with teams to resolve technical issues across projects.
Responsibilities
- Ensure stable builds are produced, fixed, and regularly delivered to the production team.
- Ensure engine changes made in other projects are properly integrated.
- Notify stakeholders and assist in resolving integration issues when they occur.
- Collaborate with the client's QA engineering team to quickly resolve build and integration issues.
- Expand and maintain continuous integration pipelines.
- Monitor build health and respond quickly to failures or blockages.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of production tools.
- Provide scripting support to designers and technical artists.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues encountered by the development team.
- Handle packaging of final builds for platform submission.
- Ensure smooth processes when transitioning builds from development to stable environments.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Python and C#.
- Experience using custom tools, pipelines, or proprietary engines.
- Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment systems and automated build processes.
- Proven troubleshooting skills and the ability to support multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Fluency in English is required due to regular interactions with stakeholders and partners outside Québec.
- Advantageous: Experience in game development support roles (build engineer, tools programmer, technical support programmer).
- Familiarity with C++.
- Knowledge of Maya scripting.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Experience developing and delivering console builds.
