About the role
- Business Analyst translating stakeholder needs into Oracle data requirements for Canada’s Indigenous-owned technology services company. Validating datasets, user stories, and data quality with engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Bridge the gap between business stakeholders and the technical delivery team
- Gather and document requirements
- Translate business needs into actionable data specifications
- Work with Data Engineers and the Product Owner to validate data solutions
- Elicit, document, and validate data and reporting requirements
- Translate business needs into specifications for the Data Engineering team
- Contribute to backlog refinement, user story writing, and acceptance criteria definition
- Validate delivered data solutions using SQL to interrogate datasets and confirm accuracy
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Identify and document data quality issues and work with engineers on resolution approaches
Requirements
- Reliability Security Clearance or higher required at time of application
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Business Requirements Analysis
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Oracle SQL
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Product Development
- Beginner proficiency in Oracle SQL required
- Beginner proficiency in Product Development required
- Intermediate proficiency in Business Requirements Analysis required
- Comfortable reading and interpreting data to validate outputs and support requirements definition
