Service Technician diagnosing and repairing agricultural, turf, and compact construction equipment at Premier Equipment. Providing on-site and workshop services while ensuring excellent customer support.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair agricultural, turf, and compact construction equipment—both in the shop and out in the field.
Perform on-site diagnostics and repairs on agricultural, CWP, and turf equipment, as well as established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products.
Participate in required Service EDUCATE training programs.
Support customer clinics.
Review and explain any maintenance, repair, or other service concerns directly with customers and document them on work orders.
May promote and sell Premier Equipment Ltd. service programs directly to customers.
Establish and implement effective stocking processes with the Parts Department to maintain proper seasonal parts inventory in the vehicle.
Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
Maintain the condition of the mobile service vehicle, trailer, inventory, tools, and equipment.
Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments.
Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
Account for all time and materials used in performing assigned duties.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of hands-on service repair experience.
Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic abilities.
Proficient with diagnostic tools and basic computer functions.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to lift 75 lbs. repeatedly and operate diagnostic equipment.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Licensed technician (310T, 310S, 421A, or 425A).
Advanced or Master Service Technician certification or equivalent experience.
Experience with John Deere equipment and systems.
CDL and forklift licenses.
Background in agricultural, turf, or compact construction equipment.
