About the role

  • Annotation Project Manager owning medical image annotation workflows and quality at Prenuvo. Collaborating with experts to ensure accurate ground truth data for AI-driven medical imaging research.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a medical and annotation subject matter lead, ensuring high-quality annotation of MRI and other radiological images across anatomical structures, tissues, organs, and pathologies.
  • Lead end-to-end medical image annotation execution, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and on-time dataset readiness.
  • Own annotation workflows and execution tracking in Jira to ensure progress visibility across contributors.
  • Partner closely with radiologists, medical experts, AI/ML engineers, and operations teams to align on annotation scope, timelines, and quality expectations, proactively surfacing risks or bottlenecks that could affect annotation delivery.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce annotation standards, guidelines, training materials, and documentation to ensure consistent ground truth data at scale.
  • Track and report annotation progress, QC outcomes, and dataset readiness to improve annotation quality and throughput.
  • Establish and manage quality control and quality assurance processes aligned with best practices for radiology image annotation in AI applications.
  • Collaborate with regulatory and clinical teams to support clinical validation efforts, including FDA submissions and other regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Medical Doctor (MD) degree preferred; alternatively, a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a relevant field with strong demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and radiological imaging.
  • Deep understanding of sectional anatomy and MRI imaging, gained through professional experience, formal training, or advanced coursework.
  • Proven experience annotating and interpreting MRI images using specialized medical image annotation tools.
  • Experience coordinating annotation work across multiple contributors or teams in fast-moving environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Jira (or similar project management tools) used to manage annotation workflows and execution.
  • Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to balance clinical accuracy with execution and delivery.
  • Clear, confident communicator able to align radiologists, researchers, and operational partners.
  • Prior experience in radiology, medical imaging, healthcare, or AI-driven annotation environments is highly desirable.
