About the role

  • Bilingual Reimbursement Specialist coordinating prescription drug coverage for patients in the healthcare industry. Working with insurance companies and healthcare professionals in Quebec.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects required to obtain prescription drug coverage for patients;
  • Coordinate cases with insurance companies, physician offices, and healthcare professionals to maximize reimbursement solutions;
  • Prepare and submit documents and all related paperwork to insurance companies and public/federal funding programs;
  • Conduct financial means testing as required to maximize patients' prescription medication coverage;
  • Coordinate required pharmacy processes once funding has been secured;
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of public, private, and federal funding mechanisms.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent in a related discipline;
  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in an office environment;
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel);
  • Professional, courteous, and effective telephone manner;
  • Proven ability to organize time, set priorities, and multitask to meet competing deadlines;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance industry is required;
  • Bilingual in French and English is required.
