About the role
- Bilingual Reimbursement Specialist coordinating prescription drug coverage for patients in the healthcare industry. Working with insurance companies and healthcare professionals in Quebec.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all aspects required to obtain prescription drug coverage for patients;
- Coordinate cases with insurance companies, physician offices, and healthcare professionals to maximize reimbursement solutions;
- Prepare and submit documents and all related paperwork to insurance companies and public/federal funding programs;
- Conduct financial means testing as required to maximize patients' prescription medication coverage;
- Coordinate required pharmacy processes once funding has been secured;
- Develop in-depth knowledge of public, private, and federal funding mechanisms.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education or equivalent in a related discipline;
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in an office environment;
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel);
- Professional, courteous, and effective telephone manner;
- Proven ability to organize time, set priorities, and multitask to meet competing deadlines;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance industry is required;
- Bilingual in French and English is required.
