Responsibilities
Model and texture 3D objects in accordance with the art direction and production deadlines;
Create a wide range of accessory models with hard-surface and organic forms;
Design assets with correct real-world scale and realistic accuracy;
Be able to work on various assets without concept art;
Collaborate with other departments, including design, programming, and animation;
Follow the production pipeline, ensuring models are created efficiently and integrated correctly into the game engine;
Create and assemble modular kits;
Work closely with the Art Director to ensure environments and assets meet quality standards and the game's artistic vision;
Communicate effectively with team members, production, and management to meet goals and project deadlines;
Receive, provide, and apply feedback constructively while maintaining a positive attitude;
Requirements
College diploma in 3D modeling for video games or equivalent training/experience;
5 years of experience in modeling and texturing for game development, in a realistic style;
Proficiency with Autodesk 3D Studio Max or Blender, Adobe Photoshop, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, and Unreal Engine 4 or 5;
Good knowledge of modeling techniques, texture mapping, and materials;
Strong understanding of creating seamless materials;
Ability to optimize texture space usage and account for pixel density/texel ratio;
Experience with cloth simulation (e.g., Marvelous Designer) and sculpting (ZBrush, Blender) is an asset;
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in French and English to interact with all our partners.
