About the role

  • UI/UX Designer creating polished user experiences for a fast-growing creator marketplace. Collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to design user-friendly interfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating closely with the Lead Product Designer, PMs, and engineers to execute product design initiatives.
  • Translating wireframes, user flows, and product requirements into polished UI designs.
  • Creating wireframes, user flows, mockups, and interactive prototypes in Figma.
  • Designing responsive and user-friendly interfaces across web products.
  • Maintaining and contributing to the company’s design system for consistency and scalability.
  • Iterating quickly on designs based on user feedback, product data, and internal reviews.
  • Preparing high-quality UI assets and design files ready for engineering handoff.
  • Participating in design reviews, team syncs, and collaborative product discussions.
  • Supporting ongoing improvements to the overall user experience across the platform.

Requirements

  • C1 English or equivalent.
  • Around 1 year of experience in UI/UX Design, Product Design, or similar roles.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing product/UI design work.
  • Proficiency with Figma or similar modern design tools.
  • Understanding of usability principles, interaction design, and responsive layouts.
  • Strong visual design skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable collaborating with product managers and engineering teams.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in startup environments.
  • Self-driven mindset with accountability to deadlines and deliverables.
  • **Preferred Qualifications**
  • Experience working at startups, SaaS companies, or marketplace platforms.
  • Interest in social media, creator economy, or consumer-facing products.
  • Side projects or freelance product design work.
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude Code.
  • Experience with motion design, prototyping tools, or micro-interactions.
  • Basic front-end knowledge (HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
  • Experience working with design systems.

  • Compensation: $50K–$65K CAD annually
