- BI Engineer at Semperis developing Power BI reporting solutions and enhancing analytics capabilities using AI. Collaborating with data and engineering teams to drive insights.
Responsibilities
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of Power BI reporting solutions, dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting.
- Develop highly visual, intuitive, and interactive dashboards that enable self-service analytics across the organization.
- Build and maintain Power BI semantic models and datasets that support scalable reporting and analysis.
- Create and optimize complex DAX measures, calculations, KPIs, and business logic.
- Establish reporting standards, best practices, and governance processes for Power BI development.
- Monitor and optimize report performance, refresh processes, and adoption metrics.
- Partner with business stakeholders to define requirements, metrics, and reporting solutions.
- Translate business questions into actionable analytics and visualizations.
- Develop scalable measurement frameworks and reporting methodologies.
- Support data validation, testing, and quality assurance across reporting assets.
- Drive continuous improvement of business intelligence processes, tools, and reporting standards.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI capabilities within Power BI and analytics workflows.
- Partner with data and engineering teams to operationalize AI-driven insights within reporting experiences.
- Evaluate and implement generative AI use cases that improve business user productivity and analytics adoption.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing business intelligence solutions.
- 4+ years of hands-on Power BI experience building enterprise reporting solutions.
- Advanced expertise with DAX, Power Query, and Power BI semantic modeling.
- Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, data warehousing concepts, and analytical data structures.
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Experience testing and validating dashboards for accuracy, consistency, and performance.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering business value.
- Experience using AI tools to improve analytics workflows.
