About the role

  • Associate Product Manager at Sun Life managing individual life insurance products. Collaborating with teams to drive market research, product performance, and initiatives in life insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to track industry trends and provide insights to support product strategy
  • Assist in monitoring and analyzing product performance across underwriting, sales, client engagement, profitability, and claims
  • Support the execution of product initiatives and enhancements by managing tasks related to product development and implementation
  • Provide research and data analysis to aid decision-making on product positioning and improvements
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product content aligns with broader company initiatives
  • Monitor the team inbox and respond to product-related inquiries and exception requests from advisors, clients, and internal stakeholders
  • Support the rollout of new product initiatives, including preparing communications and training materials
  • Manage the team SharePoint site, ensuring all relevant materials are organized and stored

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to collect, manipulate, and interpret data
  • Knowledge in life insurance products and how they are sold
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an innovative mindset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective collaboration and interpersonal skills to work across teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables
  • Experience in product management, product marketing, or financial services (preferred)
  • Familiarity with individual life insurance solutions offered by Sun Life and their administration (preferred)
  • Experience working with insurance advisors or within the insurance industry (preferred)
  • Knowledge of tools such as OneNote, SharePoint, and Tableau (preferred)
