Data Analyst mining client data and building insights for Sun Life’s health marketing and client experience teams. Supporting campaigns, reporting, automation, and stakeholder recommendations.
Responsibilities
Perform analytics from requirements specification and data gathering through analysis and presentation to solve business problems
Mine data for business insights and analyze and interpret trends using statistical tools and techniques
Support marketing campaigns, client targeting, campaign design, and measurement
Draw business insights from analytical outputs and develop recommendations with team leads
Prepare and present findings to multiple levels of stakeholders with the manager
Automate recurring tasks and identify efficient ways of working
Report on business performance and triage code- and data-related issues
Act as a subject matter expert in client data for stakeholders across Sun Life
Continue developing capabilities through internal training, peers, and other resources
Contribute actively to the analytics academy and Sun Life’s data science community
Requirements
2+ years of experience working with data, including quantitative analysis, data handling, manipulation, analysis, hypothesis testing, data modelling, and data visualization
2+ years of experience with SQL, PySpark, and other programming languages
Ability to write accurate, efficient, complex SQL queries across multiple database sources
Experience with AWS Cloud Services, including Glue, S3, Athena, and Quick Suite
Experience with Tableau or other visualization tools
Experience using oral and written storytelling to communicate data-driven insights clearly and succinctly
Strong partnering approach and ability to meet business partners’ needs and expectations
Prioritization, planning, and change management skills
Ability to learn new applications and processes quickly with minimal direction
Ability to document work
Reliability Security Clearance required
Satisfactory completion of applicable background checks, including law enforcement inquiry and credit check
Nice to have: predictive and prescriptive techniques, Salesforce, Generative AI/Agentic AI/Conversational AI systems, advanced MS Excel and MS Access
MSc in a statistical, mathematical, or technical field is preferably nice to have
