About the role

  • Strategy Analyst supporting Sun Life’s cybersecurity strategy through executive reporting, research, and presentations. Translating technology risks and trends into business insights and investment cases.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and prepare key reports and presentation material for senior leadership forums and engagements
  • Support cyber security narratives and updates through executive-level communications, reporting, and presentation material
  • Coordinate and prepare material for Security Council, Business Unit Risk Committees, CISO Forum, Townhalls, and other security forums
  • Gather and compile reports and presentation material for recurring meetings, forums, ad-hoc business narratives, and Client/external speaking engagements
  • Research security trends, emerging technologies, and risks and translate them into business insights
  • Assist in developing the global security strategy focused on a three-year view of emerging technology
  • Align security strategy with the security program and initiatives
  • Assist in developing micro-strategies and business cases for strategic investments and ROI

Requirements

  • University degree/college diploma in Business Administration, Communications, IT, or related discipline(s), or equivalent co-op work experience
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in technology and/or business writing
  • Excellent MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Understanding of the presentation process from storyboard to finished product and speaker notes
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to translate technical content into plain language for senior executives
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify reporting errors and inaccuracies
  • Ability to craft summaries and narratives about accomplishments, business rationale, and projects
  • Creative design skills and ability to use visuals and graphics to communicate key information
  • Strong research skills and ability to fact-check and verify sources
  • Ability to drive initiatives independently with minimal oversight
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work independently and in a global team environment
  • Experience with executive/senior management communications is an asset
