About the role

Student, Associate Software Engineer - AI at Sun Life. Collaborating with engineers and analysts to design and implement AI solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities

Work together with experienced software engineers, sub architects, business analysts, and testers to design, develop, and implement solutions.
Learn our software delivery methodology, good software development practice, and continuously grow your technical knowledge, communication skills, and leadership skills.
Be a collaborative team member who continuously strives to improve the client experience, our team, and our processes
Learn and gain experience building AI solutions using Python, Java, AWS Bedrock (Anthropic LLM), AWS LAMDA, and Sagemaker to help mainframe software engineers who build mainframe solutions.

Create/update team artifacts and deliver value to the client

Experience programming in Python and Java (ideally)
Familiarity with AWS Bedrock (Anthropic LLM), AWS LAMDA, Sagemaker is a plus (ideally)
IBM Z Xplore concepts badge, JCL, COBOL, or PLI an asset (ideally)
Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban would be an asset (ideally)
