About the role

  • Product Manager owning Supabase branching workflows from local development to production. Shaping CLI, migrations, GitHub integration, environments, and developer outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product path from a developer’s laptop to production, including local development with the CLI, migrations and seed data, configuration as code, pull-request branches, GitHub integration, testing, and promotion to production
  • Talk with customers ranging from indie developers and startups to platforms and enterprise teams to identify needs and set the roadmap
  • Integrate the CLI, migrations, seeds, configuration, branches, and Git integration into one coherent developer workflow
  • Define launch metrics, thresholds, and post-launch analysis
  • Own problem statements, customer evidence, technical constraints, targets, and commercial decisions around free versus paid environments
  • Prioritize what gets built, deferred, or cut across developer ergonomics, partner platforms, enterprise release requirements, and infrastructure work
  • Defend priorities, define non-scope, and manage SLO and error-budget tradeoffs
  • Align engineering, design, and leadership across compute, storage, CLI, dashboard, and GitHub integration dependencies

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience on developer tools, or experience as an ex-founder with strong product instincts
  • Hands-on technical ability, including following design discussions and getting into the code, with or without AI assistance
  • Experience shipping developer-workflow products
  • Experience with local development tooling, migrations, CI/CD, ephemeral or preview environments, or Git-integrated deploys
  • Understanding of CLI versus dashboard product tradeoffs
  • Understanding of schema-only environments versus environments with data
  • Understanding of copy-on-write clones versus dump-and-restore
  • Understanding of branching and merging stateful systems
  • Understanding of configuration-file workflow tradeoffs
  • Familiarity with the Postgres ecosystem, migrations, extensions, and tooling is a bonus
  • Bias toward action and ability to break large bets into shippable pieces
  • Ability to build and run the workflow personally
  • Use of AI tools to work faster
  • Ability to work asynchronously and make decisions in writing

Benefits

  • Fully remote work from anywhere in the world
  • WeWork membership or co-working allowance
  • ESOP (equity ownership)
  • Tech allowance for laptop, monitor, headphones, or other work equipment
  • Supabase covers 100% of health insurance for employees and 80% for dependents, wherever you are
  • Annual company off-sites
  • Flexible, asynchronous work
  • Annual education allowance for courses, books, conferences, or other learning
