About the role

  • Quality Assurance Engineer validating data solutions and contributing to product quality at Super.com. Collaborating within Agile teams to enhance testing processes and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Identify test requirements from product specifications and design docs in order to create high quality test cases
  • Help the team with the creation of test strategies, test plans, test cases, and examination of test results
  • Coordinate closely with Product Managers, Developers, Data Specialists, and key business partners to understand how data flows through our systems and ensure its integrity.
  • Troubleshoot problems, log defects in JIRA, and drive those defects to prompt remediation
  • Oversee the timely and correct resolution of all active defects in your assigned areas
  • Investigate automation results, identify issues in automated tests, and help fix broken automated tests
  • Perform root cause assessments on defects and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence
  • Define and gather key metrics around software testing activities
  • Effectively communicate test activities, tasks, and status
  • Partner closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals and transparency on progress
  • Coordinate and perform Exploratory Testing Sessions to test JIRA stories, bugs, and regression activities
  • Play an active role in daily scrums, weekly sprint refining sessions, and all sprint rituals for each of your Mission Aligned Teams
  • Ownership of Functional and Regression testing for your assigned areas
  • Operate as an SME for the product workflows and behaviors in your areas of ownership, helping assist teammates across functional disciplines
  • Help drive process improvements, identifying weaknesses in current processes and implementing improvements in partnership with stakeholders
  • Contributing to our automated test cases, ensuring they are well-written and aligned to our documented test cases

Requirements

  • 7+ years in Software Quality Assurance
  • Demonstrable qualification in writing high-quality test cases and defects
  • Strong background in formal test planning
  • Clear understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Strong background in testing data
  • Demonstrable experience working with Net Suite
  • Experience working in fast-moving, Agile environments
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong coding skills in Java, Javascript/TypeScript, or C#
  • Demonstrable experience working with Playwright, Selenium or Webdriver-based automation frameworks
  • Strong service testing experience
  • Demonstrable experience automating service test cases
  • Demonstrable experience working with SQL or similar database technologies
  • Highly motivated with a strong sense of ownership
  • Ability to work independently and deliver excellent results
  • Team player - works well with different roles and teams
  • Have a strong background in Agile testing principles
  • Possess the knowledge to analyze and address intricate problems
  • Demonstrable experience writing, debugging, and maintaining automated test cases
  • Expertise with test case management systems and defect tracking tools
  • Deep understanding of key quality metrics
  • Critical thinking, attention to detail, and proven success in problem solving
  • Proven experience to work through ambiguity and change
  • Strong mentorship and teaching skills to help grow junior members of the team
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Strong risk analysis experience.
