About the role
- Dynamics 365 Business Consultant implementing Microsoft business systems for Canadian organizations. Mapping processes, configuring modules, and leading FDD and UAT activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis sessions, gather requirements, and map business processes into Dynamics 365 functional specifications
- Configure and support D365 modules across Finance, Supply Chain, or Operations/Business Central
- Conduct gap analysis
- Write Functional Design Documents (FDD)
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Provide functional guidance, end-user training, and post-implementation support
- Collaborate with technical teams and Power BI developers to define reporting requirements
- Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to align D365 solutions with business objectives
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Functional Consultant specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (F&O or Business Central)
- Strong domain knowledge in financial processes, supply chain management, or core operations
- Hands-on experience with requirement gathering, module configuration, and testing
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications (e.g., MB-300, MB-310, or MB-800) are a strong plus
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Must be based in Canada
- Must be legally authorized to work as a contractor in Canada
- Availability to work 20 hours per week during regular Canadian business hours for a 6-month contract
- Experience independently writing Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions for D365 implementations
