About the role
- Maître Scrum facilitating agile teams for the city of Québec. Coaching, collaborating and ensuring adherence to Scrum practices and values.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, sprint planning);
- Shield the team from external disruptions and remove impediments;
- Coach teams on Scrum best practices and continuous improvement;
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to refine the backlog and prioritize work;
- Ensure deliverables meet acceptance criteria;
- Promote a culture of transparency, collaboration, and adaptability;
- Document process improvements and lessons learned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience);
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role within agile teams;
- CSM (Certified Scrum Master) or PSM (Professional Scrum Master) certification is a plus;
- Strong understanding of Scrum principles and values;
- Experience with tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, Trello;
- Excellent facilitation skills and experience running workshops;
- Empathy and active listening to understand team needs;
- Ability to resolve conflicts and foster collaboration;
- Servant leadership mindset.
