About the role

  • Patrol Supervisor leading electrical maintenance teams at Tenaris, a global tubular-products manufacturer. Ensuring safe, reliable mill operations through hands-on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead maintenance teams to ensure the smooth and safe operation of manufacturing processes
  • Provide hands-on technical support and implement preventive and corrective maintenance actions
  • Ensure application of health, safety and environment standards and practices
  • Comply with HSE procedures, report incidents or observations, perform inspections, and participate in investigations
  • Manage direct-report performance through CBA application and annual performance reviews
  • Troubleshoot failures, diagnose equipment issues, and execute interventions to maintain availability and reliability
  • Maintain a visible presence in the mill to foster employee engagement, communication, and assess work-process effectiveness
  • Provide technical hands-on support on the production floor for 70% or more of the role
  • Update risk analyses and environmental aspect assessments
  • Act as shift leader by coordinating schedules, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring safe working conditions
  • Verify technical resource availability and maintain suitable minimum stock
  • Manage and update the maintenance information system and technical documentation
  • Support Base Maintenance Supervisors with preventive tasks and failure analyses
  • Analyze complex topics and recommend courses of action
  • Interact autonomously with internal and external contacts
  • Ensure compliance with Tenaris policies, procedures, management standards, laws, and regulations
  • Motivate, coach, communicate with, and develop staff; manage HR activities
  • Protect assigned facilities, equipment, and physical resources from damage, theft, or misuse

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in industrial maintenance, trades work or hands-on engineering technician is an asset
  • 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Post-secondary education in Electrical Trade (442a preferred) or relevant technician diploma/certification
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environment safety procedures
  • Previous experience with PLC, VFD, sensors and High Frequency heating equipment considered an asset
  • Previous experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, motors, etc. considered an asset
  • Previous experience with SAP considered an asset
  • Flexibility to work 12-hour rotational shifts, days and nights, based on business needs
  • Ability to work in a steel manufacturing mill
