About the role

  • Intermediate Software Developer delivering reliable features for ThoughtExchange’s AI-powered community insights platform. Owning projects end-to-end while collaborating with Product, Design, and Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of moderately complex features and small-to-medium projects from idea through production
  • Design, build, test, and maintain clean, reliable, well-documented code
  • Ensure quality, performance, scalability, and security as technical owner
  • Build and maintain automated tests for safe, reliable deployments
  • Scope, estimate, and manage work while communicating progress, risks, and blockers
  • Debug issues and investigate unfamiliar codebase areas, including participating in the support rotation
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering on requirements, feasibility, and design
  • Participate in stand-ups, technical discussions, and code reviews
  • Support and mentor junior developers and improve team processes
  • Build understanding of the product, customers, and company goals

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in software development, computer science, or computer engineering; co-op/internship experience counts
  • Proficiency in at least one core programming language, such as .NET, JavaScript, or TypeScript
  • Solid working knowledge of relational databases, such as SQL Server, including schema design, querying, and performance considerations
  • Experience with a modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem, including frameworks, build tools, package managers, and debugging workflows
  • Hands-on experience writing and maintaining automated tests
  • Ability to scope, estimate, and execute moderately complex work with minimal guidance
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
