About the role

  • Data Architect designing and implementing enterprise data architectures for utilities. Collaborating on advanced analytics and digital transformation within a consulting team.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and leading the implementation of modern enterprise data architectures for advanced analytics and digital transformation.
  • Defining scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions across both cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Collaborating closely with product owners, data engineers, and delivery teams to translate business needs into robust data architectures.
  • Ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and alignment with organizational and regulatory objectives while driving continuous improvement across the data ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree/diploma, Business, Engineering, Computer Science background is an asset
  • 3+ years of hands-on Scrum Master experience on active software delivery teams
  • Utility experience is an asset
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I or II) is an asset
  • Valid passport and ability to travel within the United States and Canada. Up to 70% travel required.
  • Proficiency in at least one Agile project management platform (Azure DevOps, Jira)
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for sprint reporting
  • Experience with virtual facilitation tools (Miro, MURAL, Microsoft Whiteboard, Confluence)
  • Ability to design and maintain dashboards and metrics views in collaboration tools
  • Strong understanding of IT principles, including lifecycle planning, estimating, and architecture
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project management best practices and standards
  • Strong knowledge of project metrics and performance measurement
  • Working knowledge of the procurement lifecycle
  • Working knowledge of system integration activities, including business process development, system integration, and software testing
  • Coach team members on Agile principles, Scrum values, and continuous improvement mindset
  • Knowledge of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) is an asset
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar scripting languages is an asset
  • Understanding of prompt engineering and LLM capabilities to design effective agent behaviors is an asset
