About the role

  • Engineering Manager at Vanta responsible for team leadership and technical strategy to enhance business security. Driving product excellence and fostering an impactful engineering culture in a remote setup.

Responsibilities

  • Drive significant impact for our customers and business by leading your team to deliver results consistently and sustainably.
  • Build a best-in-class engineering team. Coach, mentor and create an environment where your team can do their best work and deliver for the business.
  • Set direction and guide technical strategy, ensuring that your team is delivering long-term value aligned with Vanta’s business priorities.
  • Work closely with Vanta’s customers and customer-facing teammates to build and ship high-value products and infrastructure.
  • Play an integral role in laying the foundation for Vanta’s engineering culture.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in a full-time engineering leadership role managing teams of 6-8+ engineers
  • Be a strong decision maker who effectively balances ambiguity, available data, speed, and quality.
  • Have experience managing and upleveling senior individual contributors.
  • Have a proven track record of guiding product and long-term technical strategy.
  • Have participated in developing or driving engineering-wide initiatives (recruiting processes, career frameworks, etc) in a prior role.
  • Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
