About the role
- Technical Product Analyst at Verisk Canada analyzing product performance and identifying web-based improvement opportunities. Collaborating with stakeholders to support product optimization and enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Analyze product performance, identify improvement opportunities across web-based customer portals and internal delivery systems, and support continuous product optimization.
- Develop productive working relationships with developers, analysts, and clients.
- Provide knowledgeable support to help solve product-related challenges.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in product analysis, business analysis, property insurance, risk control, or a related technical discipline.
- Post-secondary certificate or degree in computer science, statistics, information systems, or related field preferred.
- Solid understanding of business and technical requirements analysis, with strong competency in translating needs into actionable product deliverables.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, particularly requirements documentation, testing practices, and collaboration with engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- Understanding of modern data interchange formats (XML, JSON, etc.).
- Proficiency in database querying (SQL, MongoDB, Postgres, etc.) for product analysis and data validation.
- Ability to support web service implementations, product enhancements, and customer-facing technical inquiries.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to prioritize work effectively.
- Formal project management training and experience is an asset.
