About the role

  • Advanced Character Artist for AAA game production at Warner Bros. Discovery. Working closely with artistic teams to create high-quality character models.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Art Direction, Production, and Creative Direction
  • Mentor other development team members focused on character modeling
  • Create believable characters that are full of life and personality
  • Sculpt complex creatures including bipeds, quadrupeds, and more
  • Create high‑poly models and optimize them to low‑poly versions, as well as create textures
  • Contribute to R&D and produce models that demonstrate the target quality threshold
  • Collaborate with the technical animation team to update existing character assets
  • Work with the Lead Artist to keep projects on schedule

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in video game development
  • Portfolio / website demonstrating your artistic skills
  • Strong organic modeling skills (human faces, clothing, believable creatures)
  • Strong hard‑surface modeling skills (armor, weapons)
  • Excellent knowledge of major 3D software packages (Maya, ZBrush, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter)
  • Ability to mentor peers or experience in creative and technical leadership is a plus
  • Experience with Unreal Engine is an asset
