Senior Animator working closely with the Lead Animator to create high quality animation content. Collaborating with various disciplines for real time gameplay and cinematic production in games.
Responsibilities
Work closely with animation leads to create high-quality animation content for real-time gameplay and cinematics.
Responsible for character animation and bringing our narrative-driven games to life under WB-branded intellectual properties.
Be versatile, working with motion capture data, keyframe animation, and in-engine manipulation of animation content.
Collaborate with production and related departments to prototype new gameplay features.
Participate in department meetings, provide feedback, and help define the look and feel of on-screen content.
Contribute to R&D efforts to improve tools and evaluate new technologies.
Deliver tasks on time and review content within the game engine.
Fix and support animation-related issues (bugs).
Support the animation team, particularly less-experienced team members.
Requirements
More than 5 years of experience in video game development and at least one AAA title credit.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong fundamentals in body mechanics, posing, and timing.
Solid foundations in facial animation and acting are highly desirable.
Proficiency in 3D animation software (Maya, MotionBuilder, etc.).
Proficiency in the motion capture production process and able to support the pipeline.
Good understanding of game engines.
Experience with Unreal Engine 5 is a strong asset.
Strong technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Positive attitude and a desire to bring new ideas to the team.
Good understanding of the game development process and art/animation pipelines for PC and consoles.
A portfolio: demo reel or website demonstrating your animation skills is required.
