  • Sequence a replatform serving more than one million monthly active users, including migrations, dual-running and rollback plans
  • Manage contract versioning, deprecation and breaking-change communication
  • Build reusable capabilities for Bills, the wider spend lifecycle and external developers

  • Lead trade-offs across customer experience, risk, regulation, technical complexity and commercial outcomes
  • Establish product goals, metrics and OKRs and lead planning, funding, prioritisation and resourcing
  • Lead safe, iterative release and rollout strategies across customer cohorts and markets
  • Monitor customer, commercial and operational results and intervene when outcomes fall short
  • Build cross-functional relationships and drive decisions across complex stakeholder groups
  • Represent products in leadership, product, architecture and payments forums and with customers and partners
  • Mentor Product Managers and raise product, platform and AI expertise across Xero

  • Typically five or more years in product, or comparable time as a founder, consultant or technical individual contributor in a payments and/or commerce domain
  • Product management experience in a software development environment across the full product lifecycle
  • Experience developing product strategies, roadmaps and long-term plans
  • Ability to operate in technically complex and ambiguous environments
  • Strong product judgement and decision-making with incomplete information
  • Track record of owning and improving activation, retention, revenue or equivalent metrics
  • Ability to work as a peer with engineers and architects on platform design, APIs, data models, permissions, authorisation and technical trade-offs
