Engineering Manager leading Pro Response Quality team to drive successful outcomes for Services Pros at Yelp. Coaching engineers and building impactful features in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Manage a team of engineers focused on building impactful features and functionalities to drive successful outcomes for Services Pros.
Coach and mentor engineers of all experience levels, from early career to senior engineers, fostering their professional development and career growth.
Work closely with your product-, design-, data science-, and marketing partners to build and execute long-term roadmaps.
Ensure high quality project management and engineering standards and practices for the team.
Participate in discussions surrounding future applications and/or systems regarding their appropriateness of solution.
Participate in the hiring process; identifying potential candidates, conducting interviews, and closing new hires to build a strong and diverse team.
Foster and build a fun, diverse, and inclusive culture that reflects Yelp’s values .

Previous experience as a manager with excellent people management skills.
A solid technical background to shape the team’s technical direction and roadmap.
Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams working closely with product-, design-, data science- and biz ops functions.
Product-driven approach that focuses on solving user needs with seamless user experience.
Experience balancing short-term business priorities with long-term technical quality through sound judgment.
