About the role
- AS400 Developer role in financial services. Develop, test, and deploy solutions on AS400 platform using RPGILE, SQLRPGLE, COBOL, and CL programming.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on coding and development on AS400 systems, including RPGILE, SQLRPGLE, COBOL, and CL programming. Participate in low-level design activities to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Collaborate closely with team members during System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases to ensure quality standards are met. Write, review, and maintain detailed implementation and deployment plans. Communicate effectively with business stakeholders and team members to clarify requirements and provide progress updates. Work within a Waterfall project methodology environment, adhering to established processes and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an AS400 / IBM i Developer with strong hands-on expertise. Proficiency in programming languages including RPGILE, SQLRPGLE, COBOL, and CL. Solid understanding of DB2/400 (DB2400) database systems. Familiarity with development tools such as RDI and ARCAD. Ability to produce high-quality code supported by comprehensive technical documentation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
