About the role

  • Data Entry Specialist needed for a banking client. Must have 2-3 years of financial data entry experience and strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.

Responsibilities

  • Review and input source documents such as canceled checks, sales reports, and bills into appropriate data fields using keyboards or scanners. Verify and validate data accuracy, correcting errors identified during data entry processes. Audit and compare entered data against source documents to ensure consistency and completeness. Maintain detailed logs of activities and completed work for audit purposes. Manage multiple Excel spreadsheets, performing data analysis with VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros. Collaborate with internal teams to review client information and ensure data integrity. Allocate approximately 30 minutes daily in meetings to coordinate tasks and updates.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of proven data entry experience within a financial or banking environment. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently. Nice to Have: CSC certification, previous experience working as a contractor at a financial institution, knowledge of banking processes and documents.
