About the role
- Hiring Data Modeler II for contract in Toronto, ON. Design ACORD-compliant data models for insurance domains.
Responsibilities
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned to ACORD Information and Data Models. Develop enterprise canonical data models for core insurance domains (Policy, Claims, Party, Billing). Ensure data consistency, normalization, and scalability across systems. Map business requirements to ACORD-compliant data structures. Apply and interpret ACORD Reference Architecture components. Perform end-to-end data mapping (source → ACORD canonical → target systems). Enable data integration and interoperability across legacy and modern insurance platforms. Support API, messaging, and data exchange design aligned to ACORD standards. Design data warehouse / data lake models using ACORD-aligned structures. Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into data models. Establish and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and metadata definitions. Contribute to data governance, data quality, and lineage frameworks. Maintain data models, dictionaries, and mapping documentation with full traceability. Support modernization initiatives by aligning legacy data models with ACORD framework. Perform model validation, impact analysis, and compliance checks against enterprise and regulatory standards.
