About the role
- We are hiring a Quality Assurance Analyst / Test Engineer (SDET) for a hybrid contract role in Oakville, ON, requiring 5-7 years of experience with test automation tools like Playwright.
Responsibilities
- The SDET will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software products by combining software testing expertise with automation development. This role involves close collaboration with Product, Development, and Systems teams throughout the software development lifecycle, including manual and automated testing, test framework development, API/UI testing, and AI-assisted testing. The SDET will drive product quality, improve test coverage, support release readiness, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of experience in QA, Software Testing, or SDET roles. Strong experience with Test automation tools such as Playwright. Experience with manual, integration, regression, end-to-end, API, and UI testing. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments, Jira/Xray, CI/CD pipelines, and source control tools. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills. Highly desirable: Experience with AI-driven testing, Gherkin scripting, and workflow-based enterprise applications.
