Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Akamai's Cloud API and Cloud Identity Management solutions
- Build manual and automated integration and system tests
- Ensure the quality of APIs and other services offered on Akamai Cloud
- Ensure the cloud platform is resilient, secure, and scalable
- Review product designs, architecture, and specifications
- Develop comprehensive test plans
- Execute functional, load, and performance tests
- Contribute to test automation infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
- Write automated tests and review peer automation pull requests
- Partner with globally distributed developers, SDET engineers, architects, and program managers
- Contribute to release readiness decisions and deployment schedules
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, another related field, or equivalent
- Solid understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies
- More than 8 years of experience developing Python-based automation frameworks and testing REST/Open APIs
- Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments
- Knowledge of core networking concepts including HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP
- Proficiency with Git, Jira, CI/CD tools including Jenkins and GitHub Actions
- Basic MySQL database querying and schema design
- Experience with Kubernetes, including deploying, managing, scaling, and troubleshooting containerized applications
