About the role
- Senior SDET testing Akamai’s distributed cloud APIs and identity management solutions. Building Python automation, integration tests, and CI/CD quality infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Work with development teams to support quality practices
- Build manual and automated integration and system tests
- Ensure quality of APIs and other services offered on Akamai Cloud
- Ensure the cloud platform is resilient, secure, and scalable
- Review product designs, architecture, and specifications
- Develop comprehensive test plans and execute functional, load, and performance tests
- Contribute continuously to test automation infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
- Write automated tests and review peer automation pull requests
- Partner with globally distributed developers, SDET engineers, architects, and program managers
- Contribute to release readiness decisions and deployment schedules
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Solid understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies
- More than 6 years of experience developing Python-based automation frameworks and testing REST/Open APIs
- Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments and core networking concepts (HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP)
- Proficiency with Git, Jira, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and basic MySQL database querying/schema design
- Experience with Kubernetes, including deploying, managing, scaling, and troubleshooting containerized applications
