Responsibilities
- Oracle PL/SQL Developer responsible for developing and optimizing Oracle database solutions. Key responsibilities include: strong understanding between OLTP and Batch Processing using SQL and PLSQL; working with Oracle Table Indexes, Primary Keys, and Table Partitions; fetching JSON data using PIVOT with unknown number of columns; applying rowlocks; strong knowledge of SQL Joins and PLSQL collections; understanding deterministic functions and sysrefcursor; capturing program calls to Oracle PLSQL procedures/functions/packages; expertise in Oracle SQL parsing, SQL engine vs PLSQL engine, and PLSQL cursors; working with ToDate and totimestamp functions; renaming table columns; understanding SQL execution plans and inline functions; implementing user-defined referential constraint checks using PLSQL; comparing data between identical tables and finding unmatched columns; optimizing storage and retrieval of JSON data from CLOB columns; using Execute Immediate; handling PLSQL exceptions (user-defined and Oracle-provided); passing data from Oracle PLSQL procedures to Angular, Java, or Python; understanding SQL operators (IN, ANY, ALL); evaluating advantages/disadvantages of PLSQL packages; understanding nested transactions in Oracle.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development including OLTP/batch processing, performance optimization, JSON data handling, and application integration. Industry certification in Oracle Database is mentioned.
